Circles & Squares III

This is the third in a series that was created during a period in the pandemic, when I avoided going into stores because my husband was immuno-compromised after chemotherapy for a blood cancer (I am happy to say that he's currently in remission).

I had several containers of leftover pieces from previous photo-collages, and found that with the colours and images on hand, I could create small pieces like this one. It is one of my favourites in part because of the copper colour of the floor drain. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the effects of changing the saturation, temperature, tint and hue of the original photograph using photo editing software. Having said that, when I belonged to a photography club several years ago, I was very much opposed to altering images. To replace a gray sky with sunshine was, in my view, changing history. Now here I am adding colour to a metal floor drain, transforming it from overlooked object to artwork!
